COPA is comprised of a diverse staff with many years of investigative and legal experience.  Because our work takes us into communities throughout the City, we wanted to give you insight into the people that populate the agency.  See below for demographic information about the staff’s make up as well as a few fun tidbits about some of our staff.

Staff Spotlight

  • Role at COPA: Intake
  • Favorite Quote: “I believe that there will ultimately be a clash between the oppressed and those that do the oppressing. I believe that there will be a clash between those who want freedom, justice and equality for everyone and those who want to continue the systems of exploitation.” — Malcolm X
  • Favorite Chicago Restaurant: Ethiopian Diamond
  • Favorite Sports Team: I don't follow sports, but I enjoyed the hype of the Chicago Bulls in the 1990's.
  • Why COPA: Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, classism and mass incarceration are deeply rooted, systemic issues. I seek to create a more equitable world, through police accountability and transparency. In the words of Angela Davis, “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept.”
