CPS Back To School Bash at Fenger High School
Fenger High School 11220 S Wallace St, Chicago, ILChicago Public Schools (CPS) is hosting Back-to-School Bashes for students and families to celebrate and prepare for the start of the 2019-2020 school year. COPA will participate in the CPS bashes to celebrate the new school year and also explain to families the role our agency plays in police accountability.

Resource Fair at King Community Service Center
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) will participate in the Chicago Department of Family & Support Service Resource Fair at the King Community Service Center. There will be over 40 organizations represented available to provide resources to the public.
COPA Community Hours – Morgan Park
Walker Library Branch 11071 S. Hoyne Ave, Chicago, IL, United StatesCOPA investigators will be on site to receive complaints and compliments of Chicago Police Officers. Also, the staff will address questions and provide an overview of the agency.
Public Meetings of the Police Board
Chicago Public Safety Headquarters 3510 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL, United StatesThe Police Board holds a regular public meeting once a month. Members of the public are invited to attend and are welcome to address questions or comments to the Board. The Superintendent of Police (or his designee) and the Chief Administrator of the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (or her designee) will be at the meetings. Prior sign-up is required of those wishing to address the Board.
The meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and take place at the Chicago Public Safety Headquarters.
15th District Faith Based Meeting
15th District Police Station 5701 West Madison Ave, Chicago, ILCOPA will join 15th District faith-based leaders and connect with the community to build relationships between the police, pastors, principals, politicians, service providers and parents to better communicate with families and communities in the Austin community.
City Hall Resource Fair
Copernicus Center 5216 W. Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, ILCOPA will attend City Hall Resource Fairs. The purpose of the community engagement fairs is to provide residents with an opportunity to interact with various City agencies, provide feedback, and learn more about resources and supports provided through your department.
