COPA visited New Life Centers migrant shelter in Little Village. During our agency time at this event, we were able to connect with families and help them understand our agency’s mission and vision.

COPA plans to attend the Community Commission for Public Safety & Accountability (CCPSA) monthly community meeting. This month meeting will start at 6:30PM and be held at 740 W. 63rd St Chicago, IL 60621.

COPA attended the Gage Park Community Meeting, which was hosted by the Southwest Organizing Project (SWOP). At this outreach event, COPA set up a resource table and shared its agency role in police accountability with youth and their families in Gage Park.

COPA will visit a classroom of college students at Roosevelt University to help them understand the role of COPA, the importance of police oversight, discuss effective ways they can help improve positive interactions with law enforcement, and explain career paths in police oversight.
