Event Calendar

The Police Board holds a regular public meeting once a month. Members of the public are invited to attend and are welcome to address questions or comments to the Board. The Superintendent of Police (or his designee) and the Chief Administrator of the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (or her designee) will be at the meetings. Prior sign-up is required of those wishing to address the Board.

The meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and take place at the Chicago Public Safety Headquarters.

COPA will visit Catholic Charities on Tuesday, December 3rd to discuss our agency mission and serve supper to 130 hungry and homeless men, women and children.

COPA will be visiting TASC Chatham parole office to participate in a meeting and join a dialogue on how to help returning citizens overcome barriers to re-entry, building capacity through networking with local and state community constituents and leaders, and communicate with other fellow TASC partnering agencies.

Junior Achievement of Chicago host several Career Days throughout the year to help high school students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and foster skills that will be highly useful in the business world. Staff from COPA will participate in this upcoming Career Day to help students understand the role of COPA, the importance of police oversight, discuss ways youth can improve positive interactions with law enforcement and explain career paths.

TASC Oakley holds regular meetings for participants to engage in dialogue on how to help returning citizens overcome barriers to re-entry, build capacity through networking with local and state community constituents and leaders, and communicate with other fellow TASC partnering agencies.
