COPA will be visiting TASC Chatham parole office to participate in a meeting and join a dialogue on how to help returning citizens overcome barriers to re-entry, building capacity through networking with local and state community constituents and leaders, and communicate with other fellow TASC partnering agencies.

City Hall Resource Fair

COPA will attend City Hall Resource Fairs. The purpose of the community engagement fairs is to provide residents with an opportunity to interact with various City agencies, provide feedback, and learn more about resources and supports provided through your department.

COPA Community Hours – Back of the Yards

COPA investigators will be on site to receive complaints and compliments of Chicago Police Officers. Also, the staff will address questions and provide an overview of the agency.

COPA and the City Clerk Mobile City Hall Community Initiative

COPA joins Anna Valencia City Clerk Office along with various city departments, sister agencies, aldermanic offices and community organizations for the launch of the new Mobile City Hall. Mobile City Hall will be hosted regionally at various convenient locations throughout Chicago to allow residents access to several city and community services. Residents will also have an opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the services of City Hall. COPA will share with residents the agency outreach efforts and the role we play in police accountability. Staff will also be available to receive complaints and compliments on members of the Chicago Police Department.

Junior Achievement of Chicago Career Day at Aspira Antonio Pantoja High School

Junior Achievement of Chicago host several Career Days throughout the year to help high school students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and foster skills that will be highly useful in the business world. Staff from COPA will participate in this upcoming Career Day to help students understand the role of COPA, the importance of police oversight, discuss ways youth can improve positive interactions with law enforcement and explain career paths.

21st Ward, Alderman Brookins Community Town Hall Meeting

Join Alderman Howard Brookins Jr. at the 21st Ward Town Hall Meeting and hear what’s new in the ward. Also, learn about what’s coming to Chicago, and get some of those questions answered. While learning how you can help with building a better 21st ward community. This is open to the public.

COPA Community Visit at DFSS King Center

DFSS KING CENTER 4314 S. Cottage Grove, Chicago, IL

The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) plans to visit this DFSS Community Service Center on Thursday, October 3rd to make it easier for residents to file a complaint or compliment a member of the Chicago Police Department. Block Club 2019 Convention

COPA will be present at the Block Club 2019 Convention being held at Simeon High School. Guest speakers include Mayor Lightfoot, Operation PUSH Jonathan Jackson, St. Sabina Father Pfleger, along with several other city and community organizations.
