COPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago in the community during the week of 09.14.26. This week our Public Affairs team was in the loop community.
Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. Senior Fest – September 17, 2026
COPA’s participated in the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services Senior Fest 2026 at Millennium Park. The event included a resource fair, live music, giveaways, activities, and a space for seniors to gather and have fun. COPA was giving out information about our role in police accountability and how to file compliments & complaints towards CPD.
My Chi My Future Citywide Meeting – September 18, 2026
COPA’s attended the My Chi My Future Citywide meeting at the Chicago Cultural Center. The citywide meeting brought together stakeholders from throughout the city to have youth centered discussions around planning and implementing safe spaces for young people as well as provide programmatic updates ahead of the summer. COPA was making connections with community partners and providing information on our role in police accountability.
