Weekly Spotlight: COPA at Chicago Animal Care & Control & more

OPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago in the community during the week of 06.08.26. This week our Public Affairs team was in the Austin, Lower West Side, and Belmont Cragin communities.

Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. Below is a brief description of our most recent community engagement efforts. If you are interested in COPA speaking to your community group or organization, please submit a request via email to COPA-PublicAffairs@chicagocopa.org

In a pilot program launched with Safe Humane Chicago, we were able to engage dogs on walks and enrichment activities. COPA was also able to donate supplies to support the amazing work of the CACC after holding a month-long donation drive at our offices. A special thank you to all COPA staff that donated items to the CACC and those that came along to walk our four-legged friends!
