COPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago in the community during the week of 07.20.26. This week our Public Affairs team was in Humboldt Park, West Pullman, and West Town communities.
Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. Nobel Neighbors Monthly Community Meeting – July 21, 2026
COPA had a great time attending the Nobel Neighbors Community Meeting in the Humboldt Park community. Nobel Neighbors holds its meetings at various community organizations on the West side. This meeting was held at the New Life Center’s Humboldt Park site; its focus was to address the various issues impacting residents and to find proactive solutions. Several community organizations and local official representatives attend this meeting to give information on resources and community updates. COPA attends these meetings to give out information on our role in police accountability.
Chicago Youth Works Future Ready Summit & Expo – July 22, 2026
COPA had a great time at the Chicago Youth Work Future Ready Summit & Expo organized by the Department of Family & Support Services. The summit brought together over 300 participants that focused on career exploration, workforce development, and resources. It included several workshops, a career panel, and an opportunity resource fair. COPA was able to set up a resource table and give out information on our role in police accountability.
Linden House Chicago 4th Annual Health & Resource Fair – July 24, 2026
COPA had an amazing time at the 4th Annual Senior Health & Resource Fair at Linden House in the West Town community. Linden House, which is affordable housing for seniors and individuals with special needs, organized the event at their residential building. The fair included music, food, raffles, health screenings, and several community organizations were informing people about resources available to the community. COPA was able to set up a resource table and give out information about our role in police accountability.
New Life Centers Beloved Community Bash – July 24, 2026
COPA attended the New Life Centers Beloved Community Bash in the Humboldt Park community. The bash aims to bring safe spaces for young people and community to enjoy activities, food, and connect to local resources. COPA was able to set up a resource table and give out information on our role in police accountability.
