COPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago in the community during the week of 11.17.25. This week our Public Affairs team was in the Humboldt Park, Austin, and Belmont Cragin communities.
Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. Below is a brief description of our most recent community engagement efforts. Nobel Neighbors Monthly Community Meeting – November 18, 2025
COPA had a great time attending the Nobel Neighbors Community Meeting in the Humboldt Park community. Nobel Neighbors holds its meeting at various community organizations in the Humboldt Park area. This meeting was held at the New Life Center Church; its focus was to address the various issues impacting residents and to find proactive solutions. Several community organizations and local official representatives attend this meeting to give information on resources and community updates. COPA attends these meetings to give out information on our role in police accountability.

Black and Brown Unity Resource Fair – November 18, 2025
COPA had a great time attending the Black and Brown Unity Resource Fair at La Follette Park. The event was organized by the La Follete Park, Park Advisory Council and the 17th & 25th Police District Councils. The fair included food, presentations, and local community organizations. COPA was able to set up a resource table and give out information on how to file complaints or compliments towards CPD.

Northwest Center Youth Advisory Council – November 20, 2025
COPA had a great time attending the final Northwest center Youth Advisory Council meeting in the Belmont Cragin community. The Youth Advisory Council is a My Chi. My Future. Convener imitative designed to create and sustain event safe spaces that are organized and attended by young people. The final meeting was a reflection on the 2 years of events and work of the leaders of the council, which included several events that COPA supported to organize and attend.
