24th Ward, Alderman Michael Scott Jr. host Montly Community Meeting
COPA will join the 24th Ward as they host first community meeting of 2019. North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council will be presenting North Lawndale’s quality of life plan; our road map for community development. The event is open to the public
Public Meetings of the Police Board
The Police Board holds a regular public meeting once a month. Members of the public are invited to attend and are welcome to address questions or comments to the Board. The Superintendent of Police (or his designee) and the Chief Administrator of the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (or her designee) will be at the meetings. Prior sign-up is required of those wishing to address the Board; contact the Board’s office by 4:30 p.m. of the day before the meeting to add your name to the list of speakers.
The meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and take place at the Chicago Public Safety Headquarters.
Alderman Jason Ervin, 28th Ward – Austin Community Meeting
COPA will speak at the 28th Ward Community meeting on police accountability. This is an opportunity for constituents to meet with COPA leadership staff and Alderman Jason Irvin to learn about what’s going on in their ward. Attendees can also learn about COPA’s investigative process including how to report outcomes to the citizens we serve and how to reduce police misconduct. This event is open to the public.
3rd District, Clergy Meeting
3rd District Clergy Meeting is being held in October to bring the community together to problem solve on crimes and disorders utilizing faith-based methods.
South Loop Public Safety and Security Meeting with Ald. King & Ald. Dowell
This month’s Chicago south loop residents will host a public safety meeting with 4th Ward Ald. Sophia D. King and 5TH Ward Ald. Pat Dowell. At the event various speakers including both alderwomen and other City officials will discuss what the City is doing to increase safety in the area. This event is open to the public.

6th Ward Alderman Roderick Sawyer is hosting a community meeting with Park Manor Neighbors Community Council in partnership with the Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation, inviting local business leaders, block club members and neighbors to come together.
