On Saturday July 14 2018 at approximately 6:25PM the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) was notified of an officer involved shooting at 2098 E. 71st Street.
Based on our preliminary investigation, we have learned a law enforcement officer discharged their weapon striking an individual. A weapon was recovered.
Investigators remain on scene and continue to conduct interviews of any witnesses of today’s incident.
