During COPA’s visit we provided seniors with an overview of our agency, explained the importance of police oversight, and answered questions that residents had about our agency.
Friendship Center of Chicago Food Pantry
COPA’s service committee teamed up with the Friendship Center of Chicago Food Pantry to make a difference in the community. Several of our staff members supported those in need with selected groceries and pet items. COPA is happy to support their work in making a positive impact.

Intrinsic School 8th Annual Networking Night
COPA attended Intrinsic School Networking Night for their high school juniors and seniors. Students had an opportunity to learn about career opportunities across a variety of fields including public safety careers like COPA.
Public Meetings of the Police Board

Chicago Urban League 3rd Annual Black Wellness Fair
COPA plans to set up a resource table at this event to share with residents in this community our agency mission and help them understand the importance of police oversight. This events starts at 10AM and will be held at 4259 S. Berkeley.
Acero Health & Mental Wellness Symposium
Acero Victoria Soto High School will be hosting their first Health & Mental Wellness Symposium during Parent Engagement Night on February 29th from 5:30-7:30PM. Families will be meeting with their student's advisor to discuss grades, attendance, and behavior. During COPA's attendance our agency will help students and parents learn more about our agency.
Northwest Community Alliance Monthly Meeting
COPA will meet with various not-for-profit organizations to discuss community resources that can be offered to Latino communities in Chicago. This meeting begins at 9:30am.
Community Commission for Public Safety & Accountability (CCPSA) Monthly Meeting
COPA plans to attend the Community Commission for Public Safety & Accountability (CCPSA) monthly community meeting. This month meeting will start at 6:30PM and be held at 1900 West Jackson.
City of Chicago Job Fair Hosted by Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus
COPA attended the City of Chicago Job Fair, which was held at Kennedy King College and hosted by the Chicago Black Caucus. At this outreach event, COPA set up a resource table and shared its agency role in police misconduct to over 1,000 people.
Circuit Court Clerk in the Community
On March 2, 2024, COPA attended the Circuit Court Clerk in the Community event held at the Mientras Haya Amor Hay Esperanza at Little Village Boxing and Community Center. COPA was able to set up a resource table and inform the public about our agency’s role in police accountability.
