COPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago in the community during the week of 12.25.23. Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. Below is a brief description of our most recent community engagement efforts. COPA in the Community at King Chicago Public Library – 12.26.23
COPA visited Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Chicago Public Library to help residents in the community learn more about our agency’s mission and vision. During COPA’s visit, we provided the public with an overview of our agency, explained the importance of police oversight, and answered questions that residents had about our agency.

COPA visited Bessie Coleman Chicago Public Library to help residents in the community learn more about our agency’s mission and vision. During COPA’s visit, we provided the public with an overview of our agency, explained the importance of police oversight, and answered questions that residents had about our agency.
City of Chicago’s My Chi My Future Winter Kickback Youth Event in Belmont Cragin – 12.28.23
On Thursday, December 28th COPA was in Belmont Cragin for one of many events held for youth over their winter break. This event was hosted by Rincon Family Services and the City of Chicago’s My Chi My Future program. This youth winter kickback was filled with dozens of families enjoying the open gym, video games, raffles, food, and visiting resource providers.
