COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENTS WEEK OF 11.20.23

COPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago in the community during the week of 11.20.23. Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. Below is a brief description of our most recent community engagement efforts. Nobel Neighbors Community Meeting – 11.21.23

On the morning of Tuesday, November 21st COPA was in West Humboldt Park for the monthly Nobel Neighbors Community Meeting. COPA is proud to partner with this organization whose mission is to strengthen communities, bring resources, and connect residents.

AETNA Community Baby Shower & Resource Fair – 11.21.23

Last week COPA attended AETNA’s Better Health of IL Resource Fair and Community Baby Shower at the South Side YMCA. This event offered the public free access to community organizations that shared resources, cooking demos, food samples, games, prizes, and giveaways.

COPA Community Visit to Garfield Ridge Satellite DFSS Senior Center – 11.22.23

COPA visited Garfield Ridge Satellite DFSS Senior Center to help seniors in the community learn more about our agency mission and vision. During COPA’s visit we provided seniors with an overview of our agency, explained the importance of police oversight, and answered questions that residents may have about our agency.
