COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENTS WEEK OF 10.31.22

COPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago at several community events during the week of 10.31.22. Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. November 2, 2022 – MSRN Quarterly

COPA met virtually with over 70 community members at the Marshall Square Resource Network (MSRN) Quarterly Meeting hosted by Latinos Progresando. This event was created to increase the capacity and strength of stakeholders by collaborating to help improve conditions for the community in the Marshall Square neighborhood.

November 4, 2022 – UIC College Prep Report Card Pick-Up

COPA was one of many organizations that a had resource table set up at the UIC College Prep Report Card Pick Up. This event allowed COPA to be able to connect with community partners, staff at UIC College Prep along with families at this school to share our agency role in police accountability.
