COPA had a great time engaging the residents of Chicago in the community during the week of 02.16.26. This week our Public Affairs team was in the Humboldt Park and Lower West Side communities.
Our office is committed to helping residents understand how to file a complaint or compliment an officer and explain to the public our role in police oversight. Nobel Neighbors Monthly Community Meeting – February 17, 2025
COPA had a great time attending the Nobel Neighbors Community Meeting in the Humboldt Park community. Nobel Neighbors holds its meeting at various community organizations in the Humboldt Park area. This meeting’s focus was to address the various issues impacting residents and to find proactive solutions. Several community organizations and local official representatives attend this meeting to give information on resources and community updates. COPA attends these meetings to give out information on our role in police accountability.

Chicago is With You Taskforce Meeting – February 19, 2026
COPA attended the Chicago is With You Taskforce Meeting at Instituto del Progreso Latino in the Lower West Side community. This gathering brings together a diverse set of stakeholders committed to our city’s immigrant, migrant & refugee communities. COPA participates in this meeting to give out info on our role in police accountability.

COPA at Chicago Public Library – Humboldt Park Branch – February 21, 2026
COPA had a great time at the Chicago Public Library, Humboldt Park Branch. The Humboldt Park branch has ongoing activities and groups accessible to the entire community including a teen art club, several story times, and ESL classes. COPA was able to set up a resource table and give out information on our role in police oversight.
