  • The Bud Billiken Parade

    COPA staff will be participating in the 2018 Bud Billiken Parade. In addition, COPA consistently educates the public about what the agency’s mission, work, and investigative outcomes as well as identifies and creates opportunities for consistent dialogue with the community at large. This event is open to the public. 

  • COPA Speaks to CPD New Recruits

    COPA Chief Administrator and senior staff will visit Chicago Police Department (CPD) during their police academy. At the presentation, recruits, officers and detectives will be able to hear from COPA to discuss their commitment to enhancing the profession of policing and how COPA’s role as a police oversight body advances policing and serves as a catalyst to building community trust. As an agency, COPA engages law enforcement officers in order to build trust, establish relationships, and engage in a conversation regarding police accountability and civilian oversight.

    COPA investigators will be on site to receive complaints and compliments of Chicago Police Officers. Also, staff will address questions and provide an overview of the agency.
