COPA plans to participate on June 17th in the Call for Peace Rally & March hosted by the faith community of St. Sabina.

COPA plans to join Uptown United and participate in its 2nd Annual Juneteenth Jubilee and Resource Fair to commemorate this important federal holiday. At this community event taking place on Saturday, June 18th from 11AM-3PM, COPA will have an informational table set up and share with attendees the agency role in police accountability. The public is welcome to this event where there will be free games, prizes, food, and live entertainment for everyone.

COPA will attend the Nobel Neighbors Community Meeting in Humboldt Park and explain the agency role in police oversight.

COPA plans to connect with youth and community organizations to share the agency role in police oversight on Friday, June 24th at Fosco Park for the My Chi. My Future. Teen Summer Kickback program. This is the first of six summer kickback programs that the City of Chicago is offering to provide youth with important community resources and interactive activities.

COPA plans to attend R.A.G.E. (Resident Association of Greater Englewood) So Fresh Saturday Summer Kick-off event in the community of Englewood to help residents learn more about the agency role in police accountability. RAGE and community organizations will be taking over the entire block of 66th & Union for a fun filled afternoon of resources, music, art, giveaways, activities and more.

COPA will be present at the LUCHA & PLAYSTREETS Block Party to share with members of the community the role the agency plays in police oversight. This free event open to the public will offer community resources, music, games, food and more.

COPA will be participating in the Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 26th, 2022. We are excited to walk in the parade with other city officials to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community in Chicago.

COPA plans to attend a Pride Day Festival hosted by Chicago Center for Arts and Technology (CHICAT) to help residents learn more about the agency role in police accountability. This free family friendly day of fun will be filled with helpful resources, engaging activities, games, and an art exhibition geared towards promoting respect, understanding, diversity, and LGBTQ+ rights through positive discussion.

COPA will attend this meeting comprised of faith and community leaders that work together to organize, strategize, and mobilize to improve the quality of life for the west side communities.
