  • Resource Fair at King Community Service Center

    The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) will participate in the Chicago Department of Family & Support Service Resource Fair at the King Community Service Center. There will be over 40 organizations represented available to provide resources to the public. 

  • COPA Community Hours – Morgan Park

    Walker Library Branch 11071 S. Hoyne Ave, Chicago, IL, United States

    COPA investigators will be on site to receive complaints and compliments of Chicago Police Officers. Also, the staff will address questions and provide an overview of the agency.

  • Public Meetings of the Police Board

    Chicago Public Safety Headquarters 3510 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL, United States

    The Police Board holds a regular public meeting once a month. Members of the public are invited to attend and are welcome to address questions or comments to the Board. The Superintendent of Police (or his designee) and the Chief Administrator of the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (or her designee) will be at the meetings. Prior sign-up is required of those wishing to address the Board.

    The meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and take place at the Chicago Public Safety Headquarters.

  • 15th District Faith Based Meeting

    15th District Police Station 5701 West Madison Ave, Chicago, IL

    COPA will join 15th District faith-based leaders and connect with the community to build relationships between the police, pastors, principals, politicians, service providers and parents to better communicate with families and communities in the Austin community.

  • City Hall Resource Fair

    Copernicus Center 5216 W. Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, IL

    COPA will attend City Hall Resource Fairs. The purpose of the community engagement fairs is to provide residents with an opportunity to interact with various City agencies, provide feedback, and learn more about resources and supports provided through your department.

    The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) plans to visit DFSS Community Service Center on Wednesday, September 11th to make it easier for residents to file a complaint or compliment a member of the Chicago Police Department.   • 6th District Faith Based Meeting

  • Fellowship HBCU College Sunday

    Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church 4543 S Princeton Ave, Chicago, IL

    COPA will attend Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church HBCU Day. The agency will be talking to youth and parents to help them understand the role of COPA, the importance of police oversight, discuss ways youth can improve positive interactions with law enforcement and explain career paths.

  • COPA Community Visit at DFSS North Area Center

    DFSS NORTH AVENUE CENTER 845 West Wilson Avenue, Chicago, IL

    The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) plans to visit DFSS Community Service Center on Wednesday, September 18th to make it easier for residents to file a complaint or compliment a member of the Chicago Police Department.   • COPA Community Hours – Near North

    Near Library Branch 310 W. Division, Chicago, IL, United States

    COPA investigators will be on site to receive complaints and compliments of Chicago Police Officers. Also, the staff will address questions and provide an overview of the agency.

  • COPA and the City Clerk Mobile City Hall Community Initiative

    DePaul Student Center 2250 N. Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL

    COPA joins Anna Valencia City Clerk Office along with various city departments, sister agencies, aldermanic offices and community organizations for the launch of the new Mobile City Hall. Mobile City Hall will be hosted regionally at various convenient locations throughout Chicago to allow residents access to several city and community services. Residents will also have an opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the services of City Hall. COPA will share with residents the agency outreach efforts and the role we play in police accountability. Staff will also be available to receive complaints and compliments on members of the Chicago Police Department.

  • TASC Chatham Parole Office

    COPA will be visiting TASC Chatham parole office to participate in a meeting and join a dialogue on how to help returning citizens overcome barriers to re-entry, building capacity through networking with local and state community constituents and leaders, and communicate with other fellow TASC partnering agencies.
