COPA is forming a new Community Advisory Committee and is currently seeking applications. People must live in the City of Chicago to serve on the Committee. We are looking for representatives from different areas of the City and from different communities COPA serves, including the law enforcement community.
As an important component of COPA’s community engagement efforts, the Committee serves as a communication conduit between the broader Chicago community and COPA to assist the agency in creating and maintaining an effective and transparent dialog with the residents we serve. Committee members will share perspectives from the community about the agency’s work, as well as provide input on COPA-related topics that affect City of Chicago residents. COPA is currently undergoing a review of its policies. Committee Members will review the proposed policies and provide feedback to aid in that effort.
Interested Chicago residents may apply to join the Committee by completing the form here. Applications are due by April 30, 2026.
