Pursuant to a court order entered on September 22, 2023, in the case of People v. Marco Simonetti, No. 22 CR 1287801, the Civilian Office of Police Accountability is currently prohibited from releasing materials relative to this incident, including the Final Summary Report. COPA remains committed to transparency and the release of Final Summary Reports as mandated pursuant to the City of Chicago Municipal Code (Section 2-78-145, viewable here) and the Consent Decree in State of Illinois v.
