Subject: Jose Mendoza
This post was updated November 22, 2021,to include all relevant video, audio, and Chicago Police Department records in COPA’s possession that are required to be released related to the use of force in this off-duty officer-involved shooting and the events immediately following it. A court order entered on October 26, 2021 in the case of People v. Jose Mendoza, No 21CR-05600 rescinds a previous order restricting release. Both orders are included in the materials below.
