The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) and the Chicago Public Library (CPL) announce COPA Community Hours. Through this partnership, COPA will host a full day of services at select CPL branches where investigators will receive complaints and compliments of Chicago Police Officers. In addition, representatives from COPA will be on-site to address questions and provide an overview of the agency.

“As an agency, we consider this a responsibility. These satellite hours and locations are a wonderful opportunity where residents can get personal attention and information on our agency as well as file complaints,” said Chief Administrator Sydney Roberts. “In addition, by giving the public access to our services from the homepage of any Chicago Public Library computer, we can be more accessible in the City of Chicago and connect with residents.”

As a result of this partnership, COPA fulfills its commitment to be accessible by eliminating barriers to file complaints.
